What’s Going on with Us in May?

Coming off a 4-month stretch from January through the middle of May where we were absolutely swamped week in and week out, things have slowed down considerably in the events world for the next few months due to the blistering heat, which is a nice break for our team. We’re continuing to work consistently on smaller events this month, delivering more generator rentals for weddings and Vector misting fans for concerts and private events now that it’s Summertime.

We added two more Event HVAC Assistants to our team – Sebastian and AJ! Sebastian has already worked several events, and AJ starts with us soon. They both will be participating in our training program this Summer, where they will study all things Power & HVAC, become forklift certified (among other safety elements of the job) and learn the ins and outs of how we service events and partner closely with our customers on-site.

Until heavy event season picks back up (usually in late September), we’ll be focused on mainly smaller events, working with our equipment partners when they need event installation assistance and of course, hurricane season. Last year we ended up installing seven different storm camps across the state of Florida, providing temporary air and power to FEMA sites located in storm-affected areas.

We bought our first box truck to add to our fleet, which now consists of our Freightliner Flatbed – Truck 13, our Dodge Ram 2500 – Truck 83, and now our Mitsubishi Box – Truck 1 (those are Miami Dolphins number references so if ya know, ya know). We’re currently working on upgrading its AC and wrapping the box with our logo and company information. We will always deliver anywhere in the state of Florida for our customers, and Truck 1 helps us keep that company promise as we continue to grow, slowly and methodically.

We began our first marketing campaign, using retargeting ads starting in May, so let us know if you see one of our ads online!

Our partner spotlight this month goes to our friends at United Rentals Power & HVAC’s Orlando location. They have been excellent equipment providers for us, and we recently partnered up with them on a huge event install where they needed some extra experienced event staff to complete the job on a tight deadline. Our team was on-site for four days, so you can imagine it was a hefty installation with a lot of elements going into their duties with the customer. We were honored to be a part of it. Big shout-out to our United rep, Mario Gomez Oliva, for being a trusted partner who goes above and beyond for his customers and friends. The rest of their team, notably Joe, Anthony, Emmett and William, were instrumental in welcoming us on the installation and making sure everything came off smoothly while working together.

Lastly, we have big company news coming in June, so we’re excited about sharing that when it happens, which we’ll do on LinkedIn and here on our site.

Have a great Summer and stay safe during hurricane season, everyone!
