Okay, not so much, but we’re heading in a positive direction. We added our first box truck, moved into a larger space with larger bay doors in June (thank the Lord) and are staying consistently busy, even though Summer’s usually a dead period for special events. We purchased more vectors and carry a larger inventory of generators now, which is serving us well because that’s pretty much all the business is in June, July and August, unless a major storm comes our way. We have been setting up air and power for several community events recently, including a church event, a family reunion and a company retreat.
In the event of a hurricane this season, we have a decent inventory of package units we own (mostly 5-ton units and 25-ton units), along with our fleet of generators sized 25KW up to 175KW, courtesy of our friends at United Rentals and EquipmentShare. In 2024, we assisted on seven different FEMA camps from Southwest Florida all the way to Asheville, North Carolina, providing air, power and technical support for their temporary structures that supported hurricane relief staff and line workers restoring power to local communities.
In July, one of our originals, Chandler, celebrated his birthday, and we as a company celebrated our first birthday, too! It’s actually been a little over a year since we got off the ground, and we’re thankful for all of our partners – the ones who provide us with excellent equipment for all of our events (both purchased and subrented), the ones who support us through marketing efforts and shop maintenance and our awesome customers who believe in us to make it happen for their event no matter what. Our proudest accomplishment in our first year is 100% customer satisfaction on every job we have performed. That’s right – in this challenging industry of temporary air and power, we haven’t lost a single customer and continue to build our base through reputation, word of mouth and our marketing efforts across Florida.
On a sales highlight note, we have always rented Vector Misting Fans. As an authorized seller of Vectors, we made our first sale in July to a customer so they can use them year-round instead of renting every few weeks. It’s a cool option to have if you need them longer than a few days or a couple of weeks, and you definitely get your money’s worth through a purchase. We are also certified to sell Galaxy Air Lights, which are badass for special events, super durable and affordable for buyers looking for a long-term option to light up their events, venue or job site.
